Fried Rice Paper Sails

Ingredients: One rice paper 300 ml of warm water 30 drops of food color Vegetable oil Fried rice paper sails are used for cake decorating. It’s easy to make fried rice paper sails. I add 30 drops of food coloring to 300 ml of warm water and mix it well. I use a lot since my food color has low pigmentation, but you can use less if yours has high pigmentation. Then I cut the rice paper in half and leave it in the water until it softens. The rice papers change their color until they soften. I take them, put them on a plate, and leave them to dry overnight. When they dry completely, I heat the pan and put a lot of oil into the pan. The rice papers will not fry properly if you don't put enough oil. Now, I put the rice papers into the pan, and they fry in a few seconds on low heat. After frying the rice papers, they should be placed on a napkin to absorb the oil. And that’s it! The rice paper sails are ready. I think they look so beautiful.
