The Skincare Routine That Saved My Skin in Winter
About
a year ago, during the winter, my skin got a lot drier, and I started breaking
out with pimples on my face. So, I decided to make some additions to my
skincare routine. Every morning and evening, I mixed a tiny bit of Vaseline
with my moisturizer and applied it to my face.
But
here’s the thing—you have to be careful with Vaseline. If you mix in a large
amount with your moisturizer, it can clog your pores and cause even more
breakouts. Also, if you already have milia (those small white bumps) under your
eyes, putting Vaseline there can make them worse.
Some
people mix an entire jar of Vaseline with a whole jar of moisturizer and use it
like that—but I don’t recommend it. Vaseline can cause the moisturizer to spoil
faster.
I
also started using facial oil on top of my moisturizer, both in the morning and
at night. After about one to two weeks, my pimples cleared up. That’s when I
realized they were caused by a lack of moisture in my skin.
